Worst Law Suits Ever

posted by Allie

It's Friday!  Wahoo!

I came across the most insane lawsuit today.  The case is from Detroit and involves a city employee who sued the city claiming that her colleaugue's perfume made it challenging to do her job.  The case was settled for $100,000, and now Detroit city employees are supposedly no longer permitted to wear perfume or cologne.  Are you kidding me?!  $100,000 grand for strong perfume? Wow is all I have to say.  You can read more here.

The sad part about this story is that these types of cases seem to be a dime a dozen.  So on that note, if you've heard of an outrageous case, please share! There are probably enough to post a new one every week.

Have a fabulous weekend, everybody!

When she’s not studying, she loves to be with her hubby, Dustin. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, cooking, crocheting, gardening, and decorating her home. Her favorite shows are Friends, Fringe, 30 Rock, Modern Family, Project Runway, and Top Chef. She has no idea what area of law she wants to practice in but is most drawn to areas involving torts- she is fluent in Spanish and hopes to incorporate that into her legal career.
