If I had a million dollars

posted by Mac

What would you do with a million bucks? Would you buy a new car? New house? Take a trip to Europe? Personally, that trip to Europe would be pretty cool. If I happened to fall into some big money I'd like to think I would help out a few people and invest in something smart, like Greek Bonds....

But seriously, a better question is "would you still want to work for a living?" I think I would get pretty bored just sitting around. Of course, I could play a round of golf or cycle everyday but as my grandpa used to say, "a man without a project is dead." Apparently this law student is choosing not to do the whole lawyer thing after he won a poker tournament. I would hate to take out all of those student loans just to not practice law...even if I could pay them off immediately and have plenty left over to go to Europe.

I just look at all the socialites and heirs heiresses out there…. inaction, stagnation, and apathy lead to self-destruction. It’s like an emperor surrounded by riches, not interacting with his people. At least one could be an advocate of something that he or she is passionate about. To waste a gift in vain or sloth is corrupt.
